Happy birthday to me!

What's that you say? I'm looking like a fine upsatnding, intelligent and sensible dog? Perhaps that's because I'm now a two year old (my birthday is February 28th)! There was no cake to celebrate the occasion, but Craig did cook me a small piece of scotch fillet steak, so I'm happy.

Now for the tricky part - behaving like a sensible adult dog on a regular basis.

Be brushed

Back in December Craig took me to the special groomers store for a haircut. I wasn't too happy about it at the time, though I admit that I was grateful for my short coat on hot days! Well my hair has now officially reached a length where Jude feels the need to brush me. I'm not sure if I enjoy the experience or not - some parts are very ticklish. I mess about all the time though to keep Jude guessing. I do look very cute when I've just been brushed don't I?

Foiled!

Hi friends.

Last night I was VERY hungry (no surprise, my humans only feed me twice a day, plus snacks here and there). I saw that Jude had left a plate on the table beside her chair, so I decided to sneak up and see if I could find any crumbs.

I was very quiet - even did a bit of commando crawling so she wouldn't notice me ...  unfortunately Jude spotted me - I can't understand how.

Oops!

Happy birthday Craig!

It was Craig's birthday last Monday. Happy birthday Boss!

February birthdays

We went to Williamstown Gardens recently to celebrate the family's February birthdays. We seem to have an over-abundance of February birthdays, with Lloyd (4th), Deanne (7th), Nick (15th), Craig (16th) and Audrey (also the 16th - no they are not twins)  all having special days. And me.

All the humans gave each other gifts - but there weren't any for me.
Check out the photos of us having fun ...

I wonder if the humans will remember my birthday on the 28th?

Backyard architecture

Woofs and hi!

Sorry it has been a while since my last post - my typist has been very unhelpful lately and complaining about having too much work to do to transcribe my messages. At last she is ready to help ... so apologies if there's a bit of a backlog of pasts all appearing at once.

So, the humans got Foxtel connected recently, so that Craig can watch more V8 Supercars. Boring so far you're thinking! Jude enjoys watching shows that feature people doing up their houses like 'Property Ladder' and 'Selling Properties Australia'.  I've been watching with her, which has given me some great ideas for remodelling the Dog Cave. (Some of you may remember my post in January last year about my control tower come dog cave? You can check out what it used to look like if you're interested.)

So anyway, I've taken inspiration from watching these home renovation shows and have decided that I needed to open up the walls of the Dog Cave to let in more natural light and improve air circulation. You'll see that I have cut in a special arch in the middle of the new open wall - I would have gone higher but that's as high as I can reach.

Next time you drop over for a visit make sure you come out into the backyard and check out the Dog Pavilion.

Can't a dog get some peace?

Woof-oh!

I was relaxing just now, snoozing while and having a bit of quality bonding time with 'Cow', one of my toys, when Jude snuck up on me with the camera. Don't judge me!
